Man and Van Acton

Acton covers a big stretch of West London — East Acton, North Acton, South Acton, West Acton and Acton Town all sit within W3, and each has a very different mix of homes. Period terraces around Churchfield Road, ex-council blocks near South Acton, new builds along Portal Way and the Old Oak regeneration, and student-heavy houses around UWL all keep us busy.

Storage runs are some of our most common Acton jobs — there's a concentration of self-storage units along the A40 and Western Avenue, and we move things in and out of them most weeks. We also handle a steady stream of student moves around West Acton and Acton Town, and small flat moves between Acton and Ealing or Chiswick.

Local access and parking notes

Acton parking is generally easier than central West London. Many residential streets in East and South Acton are pay-and-display or permit, but we can normally find a legal spot close to the door. The new developments around Portal Way, Oaks Park and the Old Oak regeneration have proper loading bays — just give us the building name and we'll plan around the concierge rules.

The A40 / Western Avenue and parts of Uxbridge Road through Acton are red routes, so we won't stop directly on them — we'll use the nearest side street. For walk-up flats around South Acton and the older terraces, a quick photo of the stairs helps us bring the right team.

FAQs about Acton moves

Do you cover all of Acton?
Yes — East, North, South and West Acton, plus Acton Town and the new developments around Portal Way and Old Oak. If you're on the border with Ealing, Chiswick or Shepherds Bush, that's all part of the same patch for us.
Can you help with student moves around UWL?
Absolutely. Student moves between halls, shared houses and storage units are one of the most common things we do in W3. Send photos of the room contents and your dates, and we'll quote a flat fee.
Do you do storage runs to local self-storage units?
Yes — we regularly visit the storage facilities along the A40 and Western Avenue. We can collect from a flat, deliver to your unit and help pack the space efficiently if needed.
Is parking a problem on Acton residential streets?
Usually not. Most streets have pay-and-display or permit bays where we can stop legally for the duration of the job. Where we can't park directly outside, we plan a short carry from the nearest legal spot.
